Lee has had his red card overturned after representations to the appeals committee last evening. The mandatory ban has therefore been lifted and Lee is free to play as soon as he returns to fitness.

 

On another issue I understand that the young player injured in the incident resulting in Jordon Bostock being dismissed, played for Brentwood on Tuesday and is now fully fit and available for selection. Excellent news all around methinks.

Why didn't Lee start his ban after the end of the appeal period? Seems strange that he served his ban despite being innocent! The authorities need to re-think this situation, IMO.

Yeah. I reckon the emotional stress Lee suffered as a result of being sent off led to his injury, and hindered his recovery. Therefore, his red card indirectly led to him missing games. He might as well have been suspended! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
