Great news for all, our friends from Brentwood are coming to the Stadium on December 27th (Bank Holiday) for the Westview Essex Senior League Fixture and our thanks to our Officials and John Etherington the Brentwood Chairman for sorting that out and to the ESL for sanctioning it.

 

Kick Off time to be arranged with the consensus being that 2/3pm would be preferable for most.

 

I can fancy a big big gate for this one as there will be no other ESL games over Xmas. Hog roasts and mulled wines it shall be then.. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

Anyone up for being Santa.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

sod romford sid, they had their chance. perhaps some of their fans who want to see a game over christmas will visit the bridge? i shall certainly be inviting as many fans as i can when we visit them on the 17th.

Ian, what were the scores between hullbridge & tilbury?

 

i can only see one of them on the results page, 3-1 tilbury.

 

in the event of teams finishing on the same points, is it head to head record, or overall goal difference.

 

or.

 

have they not made that bit up yet?

If teams finish on the same points it would be down to goal difference, then goals scored.

Not sure why we couldn't play you, but I think it may be the fact that we have no players on contract and a different mind set with young players these days, ie the thought have having to stay in Boxing night to then get up early next day to play in the cold for nothing.

But there may be other reasons of which I am unaware.

i bet some of the players will actually turn up to watch the game, just to get away from the relatives.

950 will be there on this historic Essex Senior League day...

 

and.....

 

there will be hog roasts and mulled wines in the ground and in the clubhouse....

 

and.....

 

hot sausage rolls and mince pies in the club shop....

 

and....

 

the restaurant will be open from 11am for brunches and boxing day lunches

 

and.....

it will be clear blue skys.....
