Last nights LDV Results

Interesting to see that , of the 12 games between League and Conference, 6 were won by the Conference side and 6 by the League side

 

Several of the games were very close - Exeter lost in the last minute of normal time, Daggers and Crawley only lost in extra time and Accrington went out on penalties after conceding a last minute extra time equaliser.

 

I know it was "only the LDV", but quite an impressive string of performances from Conference clubs which surely indicates the strength of our league and the minimal difference there is , certainly in one off games, between the Conference and Leagues 1 and 2.

It would be interesting to see team line up's from the league clubs,as some use it a good opportunity to get a competitive game for squad players.I feel the real comparison will be seen in the forthcoming FA Cup rounds when conference and league clubs that meet will be full strength.

Not if teams were putting out reserve sides.

Its still a big advance on previous years - I'm sure only 2 or 3 Conference sides have gone through previously.

I went to the Wycombe v Daggers games, and neither side seem to of put out a 2nd string side, wycombe started tyson and mooney as well as a team filled with a majority of 1st teamers

Again, last night - 4 games played - Cambridge & Hereford won, Morecambe only lost to League 1, Bradford, in injury time, and the Woking game was abandoned due to fog.

 

Also good to see Gills keep up their impressive record this season with a defeat on penalties to Wycombe.
