Interesting this one. A few fans have posted on here regarding the goalkeepers at afchx and in particular the knowledge some of our fans have of our new recruit. This has intrigued me some what as we have never played at this level before, therefore as far as i'm aware have never played WAFC (except when our ressies were in the Essex and Herts league) but yet a number of 'our' fans know an awful like about him. How? Standard No.2 in particular has mentioned he 'knows' Jon, which makes me think this person is not a fan, but someone connected to the club, dear i say it, even a player. Now the views we have received are promising, but if these 'top' clubs have come in for him, why has he not gone? I don't think from what has been said he has played higher than this league. Surely every player wants to play at the highest level? It will be interesting to see how the battle for the No.1 jersey pans out, as Collier did well last night, and by in large has done well all season. I feel a situation like at Chelsea where Jon plays the league games and Collier plays the cup games. Harsh as Collier can only 'prove' himself (like Cudicini) in a few games, and whether that would be good enough to earn himself a 'recall'. Funny how we once labeled the Chelsea of Non-League footie and now we have a similiar sitution as them. I think this debate will run for some time yet. May the best man win!

We played Waltham Abbey in our first game this season.

i'd like to add to urchins' and westy's comments and say that we played waltham abbey the first game of the season and was right behind him all the way.

 

well some of us were, other girly fans got scared of the water when it started to rain and hid in the stand.
