It was a fantastic pen! Parmenter's goal from the kick off was pretty special, won't mention his miss from 1yrd earlier!

excellent game both teams fielding 13 players towards the end but the ref didnt seem to mind. Great Penalty by Wardy absoulte class <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> maybe one day you will actually score.

 

It was a shame more ppl turned up just to show a sign of respect coz look how much wardy has done for the club.

Yes it was a good day, great to see some of the old faces and they seemed to enjoy coming back to Park Lane.

 

As people have said the crowd was poor, i hope people manage to support Wardy at another event in his testimonial season because we all now he deserves it.

i mentioned on another thread, but i should say on here, the trains were not working yesterday, i know a few people from southend that were going to come along and couldnt get there, same as me, i was well annoyed not to make it, bloody c2c

I was gutted too. I was planning to come down for it but i didn't find out about this game until a week before and that left me little time to get money and time off.

Yes there was a programme, well worth getting hold of for Wardys comments about his guests. Not sure how many were printed but i guess the club shop should have a few copies left.
