Dean Nyman

We all don't like being stereotyped and Dean probably needs a change from that right wing role too. But managers will play their players where they think they perform best and we all know Dean will end up in that role cos that is where hes does some of his best work for Town. At Wingate Dean was a midfielder in the Rudi role. But Town have a lot of Rudi's these days with Steve Velandia and Rudi to compete with.

Pretty vacant....

If you want a comparison of all the strikers it is all on the ETFC site. Check the link on the right marked Jim's stats pages and you will find a huge spread sheet which lists every player in ETFC history and their careers. Also a seperate page on the same sheet for this season.

It is updated after every game.

There you go....

Ah, I see the figures now, thank you Jim for pointing me in the right direction. So from our strikers we have the following:

Hammatt 3 goals in 1,165 minutes

Nyman 2 goals in 313 minutes

Green 1 goal in 632 minutes

Smith 0 goals in 613 minutes

That makes a grand total of 6 goals in 2,723 minutes, or 30 games. None of them are exactly prolific, so my only question is why are some people, including Steve in the Gazette, so keen to criticise Bryan, but not the others? Is it just because he is the only one who wasn't with us last season, or is there another reason(s)? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Nothing to do with being here last season. The problem I have is that Green/Smith/Nyman have all been dropped to see what else works. Hammett hasn't.

Also please remember Nyman/Green have spent a lot of their time on field on the wings not in the central position.

I have and still feel that Smith would be better playing behind a front two but our line up doesn't allow for this.

Exactly THM, for me Dean Green should be a MUST up front with whoever & smudger sitting behind them.

Nyman, Smith, Ritchie all get odd games & usually subbed whilst Hammatt is it seems a dead cert to start, no-one would like to see Bryan turn it on more than the fans behind the goal but how long do we have to wait before we change it?
