FA Cup 4th Round Qualifying

Slough Town - Potential Banana skin, but also a potentially easy tie to hopefully land another big Div 2 club!

As a nosey Slough fan I thought I'd have a little look to see what you guys are making of us, and I wouldn't have said we'll be an easy path into the 1st Round draw for Canvey. We've come through four rounds to get this far and we won't be giving up in a hurry.

To the guy who said Slough were relegated from the conference a few years ago, well done for knowing your history, but I bet you didn't know that the season we went down we finished 8th in the conference and made the FA Trophy semi-final. Yes we're not as strong as we once were, but this is the best cup run we've had for several years and there's no way we'll be pushovers.

Had we been drawn away to Canvey I personally think we'd struggle to compete with you, but at home I really expect it to be a good match. I hope you guys can bring a decent crowd so we can get a big match atmosphere.

See you on the 26th

Come on you Rebels!

We're looking forward to coming to your place and I can assure you that although fans may post messages that display lots of bravado, Jeff King will be giving you utmost respect. It's been stated on this board before that there is no such thing as an easy tie in the FA Cup.

Any chance of a decent set of directions to your place from the M25 anti-clockwise. Autoroute gives so many alternatives, some local knowledge would be useful.

BTW The size of our bar will only be important if you think you may be coming back on the Tuesday night for a replay. I think we can safely give the bar staff the night off as we intend to do the job on the Saturday (there, that's the bravado bit!). Seriously, let's look forward to a few ales, a good game and best of luck (and £20,000) to whoever goes through to the next round.

Yes M25 anti clockwise then M1 northbound, when you get to Leeds just stop and ask! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/thefinger_red.gif" alt="" />

Oh come on Georgie, that's not very nice is it? I mean what have the good folk of Yorkshire done to deserve Merv? For anyone else that wants to know it's not exactly the most difficult ground to find, M4 off at Junction 5, follow the A4 towards Slough town centre, over the roundabout at the A412 junction then IIRC it's the next right, it is signposted, into Wexham Road and about a mile up on the left hand side, hey presto! Oh one more thing, come on you rebels!!!!!!!!!

I think the most polite way of putting it is that the bar at Park Lane is in keeping with the rest of the ground!
