With the next round of the FA Trophy coming up & with both Thanet teams being at home & with two possible juicy ties to be had (assuming Dover get through) is there no way both clubs can arrange something whereby one club play on the saturday and the other on the Sunday, or an earlier kick-offs on the day for one match. Surely the following of all these four clubs would be magnificent and by having both games NOT played at the same time would bring in a good income for BOTH Thanet clubs. Kicking off at the same time will not only mean a battle to get supporters but a loss of sizeable attendances and revenue for BOTH clubs.

No disrespect to Dartford as I think now they have a great chance of meeting us in the next round and even if it be they who face us different kick off times would surely still be beneficial to all concerned. Is there no way an arrangement can be made. I know I would like to see both games if it was possible. That would mean my entrance fee at the least going to both clubs. What do others think.Would you go to both games if it were possible to do so.

I and a mate where talking yesterday on this subject. We also would both like to attend both games and its ashame their on the same day. If a game was to be an early kick off i think it would be more logical to have that of Margates early. This becuase Dover can not moan players having to leave to early becuase of travelling time as many of their players probally live more locally than them of Margate.

No-ones assuming Dover will win the replay as I have mentioned above but IF Dover get through the gate will undoubtedly be higher. Even if Dartford get through the gate will still be good though not as high obviously as the Dover game would be.Was talking in terms of possible victory for Dover. With whatever team goes through I personnaly would still like to watch both games even if its just to size up AFC.

[color:"blue"] The first round of the Trophy included a tie on Friday before the other ties (Fisher & Dulwich groundshare) so there is prescident for one tie on a different day. As (potentially) there may be trouble at either game perhaps if the police made an objection that would 'help' to move one of the games.

Agreed Peter. What with the possibility of TWO large attendances on the same day but more importantly at the same time, deployment of police forces may have the authorities change times for one of the games to enable them to concentrate on one part of the area instead of two on the same day.If police are called in,just in case, surely one set of constables to cover both games would be cheaper and more convenient than getting two sets of out at the same time. When we move across the island to watch the other game so can those police in attendance from the first game.Makes sense and would make my day. So it could well be that the police have a big say in this.Lets hope so.

I realise just talking about it on here dosent get a decision on this but maybe just maybe someone in authority is looking in in which case there would be hope that an arrangement could be sought.

I think we're all getting carried away here. There maybe 2000 at Southwood and the same at Hartsdown P if Dover are the oppo. I see no problem in the Police handling that if both games are on the same day. For Thanet it would be superb. Whether it makes any difference to those who make policy at TDC is anoher matter

[color:"blue"] Sorry, I thought I'd made it clear that using the 'possibility' of trouble at both matches was just giving reason for the clubs (if they choose to co-operate) to present a case to the FA to switch the date of one game.

I wasn't suggesting there will be any trouble, but it makes the reason for a switch a 'policing matter'.

No-one is suggesting there will be any trouble. Police can be in attendance for reasons other than possible crowd trouble. Traffic, etc.

I brought this subject up as a talking point only and as Chris says to see what others think about wanting to see both games on the same day or the same week-end. The fact that the police have been mentioned is also as Chris says to look at another way of getting one of the games staggered.

It would of course be better altogether if both clubs, with the F.A could work something out so that they could in fact be staggered & that the police need not be in attendance at all.

And if Sky wanted to show it live I bet it would be switched!

I find the talk about the police slightly absurd. Wimbledon will only take 500 (if that) to Southwood.

Agreed Coffin Ender. They've been taking 4-500 to most Ryman Premier games and Ramsgate is further than most. Plus its "only" the FA Trophy, and its against a lower division club (AFCW will probably look down their noses at Ramsgate). I'd be very surprised if the attendance was over 1000 at Southwood. 8-900 would be good for them.
