Robert Moore and stuff

So I'm guessing Robert is related to the Chairman in some way, but what's his official position at New Lodge? I know he writes the Gazette column, and I've seen him at games, but the way he writes in the column it sounds like he's also a club official.

Anyway great result yesterday - we gotta sign DJ Campbell if he keeps performing like that. Gutted that I'm gonna miss the 4th qual round as I'll be out of the country on a stag weekend.

Just been watching the Masters Football on Sky. Amara Simba was playing for Central Europe and got a hatful of goals, but it wasn't enought to stop them getting knocked before the final.

Oh, and what happened to the announcer at New Lodge? The new one is very downmarket!

Rob Moore is the Chairman's son. He works for Gary Calder on match days - you would have seen him popping out of the dugout to kick balls around when the ref demonstrated the number of goals Boretree had scored - O <img src="/forums/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> ) He also writes match reports for both the Gazette and the NLP. Not sure about an "official" position, but his connections make it easy for him to get the inside line on what's happening at new lodge for his column.

Simba was in the bar after the game Saturday - great to see him still enjoying his football at 40!

Neil, who was the announcer for a fair few years, has stepped down this year from the job and there is a new lad on the mic (sorry, I don't know his name). I think he's getting better as he gains in confidence!
