Quality night down the club yesterday, it was packed. I'm feeling terrible this morning mind you.

 

We certainly celebrated Mrs T's 80th in style.

 

Highlights of the night included a very drunken game of squash against CZ, I think we played a game of pool on one of the snooker tables, Zealster on the old joanna with everyone joining in on I don't like Mondays.

 

CZ won a bottle of Malt, did any of that make it back to yours mate ?

 

Oh, and he won't thank me for saying this, but CZ got stuffed 3-0 in his snooker match.

 

I'm sure I've forgotten a few things that went on.

I'd prefer to put that down to the five pre-match double G&T's (why the fk was I drinking gin!!?) than my general crapness with the cue, but I think the team we played against are pretty good.

 

That piano's gorgeous, isn't it? Apparently it belonged to a pre-war Conservative MP (can't remember his name - no-one I'd heard of) who was fairly handy on the joanna himself! It seems a shame hiding it away in one of the Heath rooms, but I suppose if it's probably worth a bit, they don't want to risk it in the main bar.

 

Still got most of the Malt, mate - I wouldn't be here this morning if I'd polished that lot off when I got home!

Most people down there were ! It was going down a treat. I'm going to have to stop going out with you though mate, as we get stuck into the Amaretto big time when we are on one.

 

I can't remember getting home. Woke up on my sofa about 4am still fully dressed.

 

I've just remembered we all chucked Phil in the pool after losing the snooker. Was he pissed off about that ?

Emma's less than impressed, though. I had The Darkness on at full pelt when I got home and woke both her and the little guy up! Oops!!

I remember agreeing to go on the Golf Day next weekend at Woburn. I don't even bloody play golf !

 

I think that we should have left it at 3 bottles of champers mate. That 4th tipped me over the edge.

How much of those bottles did we actually drink, and how much did we just spray around Heath Room (West) like a Formula 1 driver on the podium!!?

 

I've always wanted to take up golf, actually. Played a bit as a teenager, but not picked up a club in about 15 years! If you don't go to Woburn let me, and I'll take your place.

Not sure how much we actually drank of the stuff. Quite a lot though I reckon. My suit needs to get down the dry cleaners quick smart, it got soaked with the stuff.

 

The golf day is all paid for by the club anyway. I think there might be a couple of places left, so give the club a quick call, and we can play together.

I reckon I drank at least the following last night...

 

Two pints of bitter

Gin and Tonic (about six doubles)

Champagne (best part of two bottles)

Amaretto (at least 8-10 shots)

Single Malt (probably about a quarter of that bottle)

Sherry (when I got home)

 

Might take the edge off it with a couple of these tonight...
