Manny

It seems like only a couple of weeks ago we were all clamouring for Manny to be given a contract as we were so short of strikers now all of a sudden it seems like Charlie, Sodje, Guy, Grant and even Jukebox are ahead of Manny in getting the nod to play upfront from Liam.

I wonder if the little fella will stick around, he is too good a player to not get a game.

As has been mentioned before, I'm sure he'll be pretty disappointed that even Jukebox, a player who isn't even a striker, seems to be preferred to him up front at present.

I remember it well, worrying that he would not sign. I for one, wanted him to stay, and still do. It just seems that he has gone off the boil. Also, there is not point sending a long ball to him, when he is being marked by a 6ft defender.

We have all seen what Sodje can do and although Guy wasn't on against York for long enough to make any judgement if the bloke has been on the bench for Colchester six times this season they haven't sent him here to play for the ressies.

I like Manny but it is hard to see him getting many starts this season (KSC excepted). <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

We know what he can do, but this season, when selected, has not looked up to much

 

He seems to have lost his enthusiasm and lacks pace generally

 

I was keen to keep him, but as you guys say he looks well down the pecking order now

 

Good to keep in the squad though

A few brief substitute appearances is hardly a good yardstick though. In fact, in his only prolonged appearance of the season, he played pretty well against Canvey.
