Imraan Ladek has today confirmed what the management team will be at Kettering Town when he takes control of the club early next week.

Former England star Paul Gascoigne will be appointed Full-time player/manager.Ex Arsenal Midfield player Paul Davies will leave Leyton Orient's coaching staff to become the poppies full time 1st team coach.

Current Poppies manager Kevin Wilson will be appointed as Director of football and will also take a seat on the poppies board of Directors.

Of the appointments that Ladek has called his "Dream Team"

he said "Paul Gascoigne has not proven himself as a manager. But he has worked under some of the biggest names in football management like Terry Venables and Sir Bobby Robson. But this is something Paul has to do for himself and i belive with Paul Davies and Kevin Wilson along side him it can be a great thing.

"Paul Davies has also worked under some Great managers like Don Howe,George Graham and Arsene Wenger and when at Arsenal he helped develop some great players through there academy.I have no doubt Paul will be a tremendous asset to Kettering Town Football club."

"None of what i want to acheive here can be done without a true football man over seeing things, and that is where Kevin Wilson comes in.He has every skill you possibly imagine and that is why i wanted him in as Director of football over anybody else.I have devoloped a strong relationship with Kevin and it has brought us to where we are.His knowledge of the game goes beyond anything else and he has done a fantastic job at Kettering on a very tight budget.Kevin is vital to our plans and has a genuine love of this football club.I am sure he will develop the right infrastructure to take us Forward".

Wilson will be incharge of the poppies on Saturday agaist Leigh and Gascoigne should be incharge a week saturday for the FA cup clash with Gravesend & Northfeet.

A good way to recommend him to the fans!

This account seems to contradict Mr. Mallinger's theory that a takeover is another couple of weeks away, as posted by Alan W the other day. Interesting...

Hold off posting on the prediction league if this is true. Could be a big crowd. We must go up there in force and give the pieman some stick. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />

According to the NLP, Kevin Wilson seemed to be pretty fed up with being forced out of the role as manager to that of 'Director of Football' (aka a position of mock importance at most clubs). As he had been progressing well at the club, you have to feel sorry for him. I got the impression that he might decide to leave if he is forced out in favour of the famously lachrymose ex-England player, well known for igniting the self destruct button. These days he hardly seems capable of staying with a club for more than a couple of weeks. Unless he gets a brilliant run of results, I cannot see him staying at Kettering for very long. Paul Davis, on the otherhand, may develop into a good coach. He was certainly often underrated as a player.
