Gotta be Alf Tinki, Most certainly was his favourite phrase. Never forget when on tour and four players out the back of the hotel to a club for some fun, next morning their passports on their beds, not a word said.

Treated players with respect, expected the same back, only thing is a 'Naam lad was Alf, but a gentleman.

Alf was a member of the Push n' Run Spurs 50s team along with Len Duquemin et al another great exponent of the "let the ball do the work" theory

His Tractor Boys team of the early 60s showed that with organisation it was possible to get promoted and win the Championship in successive years, I believe the only one who's come anywhere near that feat is Cloughie and of course the gap between the top two divs is getting bigger.

Another of Alf's phrases was" You've beaten them once, now go and do it again" when Webber equalised in the last minute in '66

BTW look at the replay of that and it's offside!
