I actually felt we played better without Beckham. When he plays he seems to dictate the game with long balls and continuous crosses however when he weren't there we put the ball on the floor and played some good positive football...

 

...not lamp the ball 30 yards to the shortest player on the pitch, who loses it, then go back and fight for it to do the same thing again 2 minutes later...

 

Anyway now I got that off my chest, I think SWP played well and pushed forward to act as a third supporting stiker but still done a good job in midfield. Without Beckham, Lampard seemed to put the ball on the floor and feed Owen; who plays a better game when he isn't constantly being bombarded with crosses....

 

All in all, the best football we've played in the last four games...

ESU, I'm astounded, for once you are not looking at the england set up through redcurrant coloured glasses!!

Beckham has become a major talking point regarding his england position, it's just a shame that whilst some are doing the talking, he's playing his socks off.

In my opinion, he is a major factor why we are going to the world cup in the first place.

 

But that's just my opinion, and I realise it's friday so I wouldn't want to offend anyone.
