Can you tell your gate people what discounts are allowed and when, asseveral people were charged full price recently after being told that the discount agreement had been discontinued. Roy Merryweather when we asked him last night, said was not true.

I'm one of the 'gatemen' at Windsor and we were informed at the beginning of the season the reduced price for Slough Town season ticket holders was no longer in effect, hence why the few people that have asked were politely informed this was no longer the case. I know this did cause initially a stir with Windsor supporters why other clubs fans should be charged cheaper to get in. This wasn't because it was Slough Town we had a similar scenario a few seasons ago when an agreement was in place with Wycombe fans and a lot of people was annoyed why they should pay more to support their team whilst others paid less. Understandbly if your a student or a genuine concession that's different. I guess the annoyance it caused was the reason why the decision was taken.

I belive the same deal is on offer to Windsor at Slough games - I understand Woody is keen to take this up - him being a closet Slough fan!!!!!

We don't doubt that, we were informed it was defunct for both sets of fans no matter who the home side. I know a lot of Windsor fans believe this to be right for reasons outlined above, Slough fans may well feel different, they may not mind if another clubs supporters gets into their games at half the price they pay, but I can only comment on Windsor fans feelings.

 

Also if this was to remain in tact when either of us are the home side in the derbies the gate receipts will be down quite significantly. This I know would affect Windsor more than Slough for obvious reasons.
