i think the ref played the right amount of time at the end last night, particularly after that clash (where for some reason he gave the competitive drop ball instead of a throw <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />) and all the time wasting.

staines did look good last night, but when we managed to start playing we looked more equal to the challenge, its just a shame we started doing it so late

obviously leons injuring was a factor, and i dont believe that he should have taken miller off unless there was an injury, maybe he should have taken off mason and gone 3 front??

Perhaps lower expectations are required CK? We had plenty of time added on, not many of officials will do, but once again, did the opposing keeper have a save to make? No, not really. How many times have we come away from matches (this season and last) saying that?

no, because we a small minority decide to barrack the referee at the end of the game every time we lose. Cheshunt away last season was one that really sticks in my mind, but at the moment the players look like they haven't got the slightest clue what they're doing on the pitch and Eddie is hamstrung in his ability to add to the squad.

So, your proposed solution is? Eddie's certainly not going to be able to add to his squad if fewer people are coming through the turnstiles and paying their £7. Perhaps a top up from the supporters for the weekly budget? Seems to be all the rage at the moment with a few clubs doing it.

well Billericay's chairman has said that he wants the supporters to raise a figure (can't remember what it is off the top of his head) to help towards the general running of the club. Notice that I said the CHAIRMAN asked the SUPPORTERS. Have any of the club's directors (do we actually have any?) asked us to raise funds for this? Is it a given that we should be expected to fork over our gate money and then somewhere to pay for players? Isn't that what the trust was set-up for, to help with the general running of the club?

Not only that but they were starting to argue amongst themselves, which has to be a bad sign. I thought that if we had got our act together, they looked beatable, but an inability to do the simple things well will always handicap us, and the discipline then to have a go at doing things properly. We are going to have to manage without Chopper and Mets for quite a few weeks if not months, so I hope that the other injuries we picked up last night are not serious, or we will need some more cover - the guys who came on don't seem to be stepping up to the challenge of the opportunity they were given.
