I still think even though St albans sounds dull to some/most people. It would be an easier route to the first round.

I seem to remember we have lost to them in the FA Cup before or it might have been the trophy

Check their results this season...not bad. I think either of them could give us a decent game but like most of us I would be very dissapointed if we don't make the 1st round. Draw could have been a lot worse

Provided we actually win the tie, though, which would of course be easier against a team of Ryman standard or below at home or something. It'll be interesting to see whether the MK-based consortium have finalized their takeover of Kettering by then, though.

Playing either team isn't without its pitfalls, but at least it's slightly easier than last year's 4th qualifying round draw.

I hedge a bet that Gravesend seems more northern than Kettering!

Why do we always get such hard draws in the 4th qualifying round? I reckon whoever wins tonight it will be a tough one.

Prior to this season we got Hornchurch (Conf South leaders) away, Exeter away, Margate home & Burton away.

Contrast that with Canvey, Burnham home this season, Hallen Home last, Mangotsfield away the season before.

Has Jeff King been offering caravan holidays to his mates at the FA.

It appears that Gazza wont be in control at Kettering when the 4th qualifying round of the Cup occurs anyway - even if they get past St Albans City tonight
