Billericay 4-0 Dirty Braintree

They came to kick us out of the game and did they succeed? Did they bo**ocks! Billericay took the lead through Roy Essandoh and then went 2-0 up when Dean Parratt tried to catch a free kick inside his area Richie Graham converted the penalty.

2nd half was notable for 4 red cards following a melee when the donkey braintree no4 tried to get Essandoh in an headlock. Most of the players on the pitch got involved and the referee (who will be appearing in panto soon) waved his red card arround at anybody who came close to him. DJ Campbell scored a 3rd then Dean Parratt was sent off for a second booking (still hasn't learnt how to tackle since leaving Billericay although as always he looked a good passer of the ball) before Richard Graham scored his second goal.

Copious absence of Braintree players giving it large on this occasion - Wonder why, maybe you can't rely on dirty tricks every week eh lads?

Comfotable win, Braintree only threatened from a couple of free kicks. Roll on the next round!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, without doubt the most bizarre game i have ever witnessed. i think the great performance and great scorelne has been somewhat overlooked by an incident-packed game from start to finish. 5 sendings-off doesn't even tell half the story. can someone explain: -

1. why wasn't dean parratt sent off after being booked then deliberately hand-balling to give us the penalty???

2. why we were allocated a ref in a hugely important f.a cup match that was so inexperienced and incapable? he had lost control of the game well before the huge bust-up.

3. why braintree have managed to not get chucked-out of any league or cup competitions because of their in-excusable behaviour which we have all witnessed first-hand, such as their time-wasting, blatant fouling, blatant abuse to the ref, and at the end of the game when their player (in my opinion) was deliberately trying to get sent-off to get the game abandoned. in periods during the game you got the feeling everyone in the crowd was wondering when the next blatantly dirty foul was coming from. there could have so easily been a long -list of injuries as a result.

still we're through and at last we've beaten those inbred w*****s from braintree.

bring-on the next round!!

this was an incredible game which sadly will be remembered more for the sendings off then for our annihilation of a cr*p boretree side who once again tried to spoil, fudge, and cheat their way to some kind of result.

was disappointed to see willo hadnt made the starting xi altho it was clear he had suffered a nasty blow to the head as he was seen wandering aimlessly around new lodge all afternoon sporting sunglasses on the darkest day of the year coupled with paddington bear's duffel coat.

we persisted with 3 at the back which surprised me altho this became an irrelevance due to the subsequent events.

first 15/20 pretty even but we took charge after waters had to be carried off the 2 yards from the pitch to the touchline. well taken goal from roy and parratt should have gone for the handball for our pen (2nd bookable). after the break we had the melee which left our 9 better than their 8-9. desrved goal for dj another from rg and henty still had time to hit the post at the death.

minuses:

roy sent off - misses 3 games

russel sent off - misses 3 games should know better by now

the ref - sh*t official....again again

boretree - a disgrace to essex football in every respect - again

plusses:

a win, next round, and 10 grand in the sky rocket

big crowd tho this will massaged lower to avoid giving boretree any cash.

jj surely the best keeper around at this lvl

carthy best game for ages up and down all day esp when game stretched - good engine

dj - excellent effort up front..delighted for him to score his 1st goal for us

everyone else for seeing off those miserable lowlife that exist as boretree town.

home draw please...cmon the bluesss!!

Assuming they get a straight 3 match ban their suspension would start on the 26th October (the next round of the cup). Which other games they would miss would be affected by whether or not we needed a replay and whether or not we arrange a match for the 2nd November which is currently a free weekend as we receive a bye into the 2nd round of the FA trophy.

I agree with martin that perhaps yellows for Roy and their No4 would have been more apropriate, this would have still seen their player walk for a 2nd yellow.

Incidentally the referee was the same as for the Bishops Stortford league game which was probably one of the better refereeing displays of the season so far.

I agree I don't think the ref did too bad gave most of the correct decisions apart from possibly Roy's red card and that Parratt stayed on the pitch for so long! It seems to be however that whenever there is a mass punch up refs feel they have to punish both sides equally.

Thought Martin Carthy was excellent second half when he was our only central midfielder, shame about the shooting though.

Finally did you notice how quiet George Borg was yesterday, maybe this had something to do with the pulled muscle he obtained after celebrating Roy's goal. He was seen afterwards limping back to the dugout not to be seen again classic!

Payback time big style. For all those years of cheating, time-wasting, blatent intent on injuring our players, negative tatics and general inbredness (not to mention they always beat us!). Just when thier club needed ten grand the most, we claim the whole [censored] lot. Superb performance all round (DJ, a different gwavy). Thought referee done alright, it's never going to be easy with a 22 man brawl going on! Essendoh was unlucky with red, but the ref was sensible and took advise from both lino's. As for the Braindead player in the tunnel (abusing the lino), I think the ref will be mentioning him in his report! As for Braintree, stick to ploughing fields and crunching carrots!

I can't deny that I was not proud of the way the Iron played.

Despite you biased comments the game was not that dirty.

Roy E & DJ C played well.

Good luck in the next round.
