Shame the great man's 65th birthday fell on a Sunday, else I'd have been on here with a whole load of tributes!

Top 5 Lennon Solo Albums

1. Walls & Bridges - very underrated, only three stars in this month's Q Magazine. But his most consistent collection of songs, I reckon.

2. Plastic Ono Band - if only for Working Class Hero. FKing superb song!

3. Imagine - but not for the overplayed, overrated title track. There's not much to choose between this and Plastic Ono Band.

4. Mind Games - it's getting tough now, he didn't make that many great solo albums. But the title track is magical, and Bring On The Lucie is a jaunty little number too

5. Unfinished Music No.2: Life With The Lions - Cambridge 1969. 26 minutes of noise and decades ahead of its time!

Did the matchday music for our game against Altrincham on Saturday. Was going to play Ticket to Ride as a tribute to John Lennon but the bloody CD buggered up!!! Luckily the spare I had, had Whilst My Guitar Gently Weeps on it so hope that more than makes up for it!!

Yeah that's true. Well if I'm doing the matchday music on weekend of December 10th then I'll play a tribute in memory of the 25th anniversary of the great man's death.
