Hi you lot, called in yesterday with the missus after our bore draw against Woking and thoroughly enjoyed the game as well. One question given your legendary hospitality and quality of food and beers in the clubhouse. Why are the burgers so bloody dry and uninviting. . ?. Bought two and threw them in the bin. Beast - you did the right thing by binning the burgers.

 

should you have braved them and not been in possession of a cast iron stomach as tink must be, then you could have read the entire sunday times and all the supplements in one 'sitting'.

 

the chips aren't too bad & indeed were rated 2nd in the conference south last season.

excuse me whilst i pick myself from the floor zody, i believe it was a group of fans from sutton who rated every ground's chips on a number of factors including amount of chips, whether they were hot or not, range of sauces etc.

 

can't remember who came top, just grateful it was only the chips that were being tested.

I have never actually had a Riverside burger. Next game I'll try one though. I'll report on my findings next week. Is it the same group or family that does both?

Never tried the Riverside burgers but the other burger van has always been OK when I've been.

I had a Riverside Burger on Saturday.

 

I have to admit that on this occasion, I wasn't too impressed. In the past however, the Riverside burger has been of much better standard that the Eastside!

 

I'm just a little fussy when it comes to food.

 

For when you are used to the delights of Charcoal Grill in Upminster the night before your tastebuds instinctively expect high standards <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Speaking as someone who does not like burgers, I would recommend anyone else with equally good taste to go into the club shop on the Upminster side of the ground, (aka the east or windmill side) where they have an excellent line in hot snacks.
