I don't think Parklife is outdated at all, even if we're not at The Park anymore. It still gets sung at games occasionally, so the players will know what it's about. I've never heard 'Rebel Rebel' sung at Slough games.

I don't think Parklife is outdated as a song but it is as far as the team name and where we are currently playing. 'Rebel Rebel' is not really a song to be sung by supporters it's more to spur the players on as they come out.

My point was more along the lines of, if Parklife is played as the players are running out, then

 

a) most of the players will recognise it as a song that is associated with the club because...

 

fans can join in with the chorus as it's a song that has regularly been sung before, and is tried and tested.

 

I've nothing against Rebel Rebel etc, but I think there are good reasons for using Parklife.

i think the intro would be gd for building up the players entrance, then have them come out and finish the warm up as the chorus plays??

don't play at a stadium with park in it's title so it won't get my vote. In fact i think entrance music is rather stupid so I hope we don't do it

I think it can be effective, if the music is right, and also if, and only if, the stadium is full. Bolton appear to be good at it as it gets an atmosphere going. Can't see that happening at the Stag somehow.

The music, IMO, should be about getting the atmosphere at the ground going, not firing the players up. Something we need all the help we can with at the moment.

I think the players should have the final say. It is, after all, a song to gee THEM up.

 

We might choose a song that for some reason, has the opposite effect, even if it gees us up.

i dont think relaxed easy listening is what we need, you could hear a pin drop in that stadium for most of last night (and i thought i saw some tumbleweed too! )
