Skins will have a testimonial at the end of the season according to his programme notes yesterday.

 

A well-deserved accolade for one of the most consistently good performers I've seen in my 12 years of attending Fleet matches.

Skins has to be up there as one of the best fleet players of all time. Outstanding performance against York, then again usually is outstanding.

That is true, but a fuss is never really made over him.

 

The chant yesturday, which lasted all of 10 seconds max, was I think 1 of 2 ever I have heard at Stonebridge road... although knowing me I am usually concentrating on the football... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

 

I think a proper chant should be made, there was a good suggestion in the 'new songs' thread ages ago, but these are rarely added to our list.

 

I did hear a new general tune yesturday though, but becuase not many people knew it, even about the chanting club members whatever you call them, I couldn't make the words out...!

Skinns, along with Jacko is a living Fleet legend. I'd bet that there won't be many of the current Fleet team that will stay with the club for the next ten years.

I thought it was universally accepted, rightly or wrongly, that suggestions of chants posted on here never actually come to fruition.
