Two days ahead of schedule, the player database has now been activated on the site. There's still plenty more to add in there (as I'm sure you will see and point out!!) and any help with missing information and particularly pictures would be most appreciated.

My thanks go to Chris Boxall for the tecnhincal wizadry to set this up and also to Alan Smith for providing the bulk of the information contained in the records.

 

This might answer why I was after the first names of some people recently!!

Just as a bit more background, at present, we're using information we have from line ups from the 89/90 season to the end of the 04/05 season (hence why some players have asterisks next to appearances and goals scored) for players (in the main part) who are no longer with the club (Westy excepted).

 

I think from the information we have, there are around 100-130 more players to go in, but these are perhaps some of the 'lesser' known or remembered players. Once this is completed, we will be looking at extending this back to previous seasons - Alan Smith's workload permitting, and updating the database in co-ordination with obtaining that information.

 

I hope it provides a useful and informative tool for the online community of Slough Town fans out there, and of course, that extends out to supporters of other clubs trying to find information about players also.

Fantastic stuff. At the launch of the Supporters Trust a couple of years back Alan had his entire records with him. I was absolutely amazed at the detail he has amassed over the years and it's great that at least some of this can now be shared with others.
