Watched the england game after ours 2day. wot a load of rubbish. maybe they should have sodje and charlie mac upfront, (would do much better than crouch).

 

PS. Did anyone see the 2nd half of the N. Ireland Wales game what a game and what passion from the irish fans.

I watched Cameroon vrs Egypt. 1-1 Final score. Brilliant game. Cameroon missed a penalty 5th minute into injury time.

Not a great game .....but a 1-0 win never the less...and Beckham should not even have been booked , let alone sent off !

 

Don't care about any other International games today ...zzzzz !

It was very poor, but I suppose we got what we needed.

 

AS for Beckham's 2 cards - on both occasions, the actions of Itselsberger (?) got cards for Beckham - the first time, he went down, started to get up, then thought he'd better roll around holding his face - the second one, he certainly made a big deal of the incident, even if Beckham did very slightly clip him.

 

Mind you, the ref must have come from the Conference standard of refereeing - the missed stonewall penalty for us alongside the 2 Beckham bookings for starters.

 

 

Mind you - on the subject of referees, I dont remember thinking badly of any decision in yesterdays Fleet game - ok, so the second York goal may have been offside and there was a query as to whether the guy who fouled Sodje in the first half should have been sent off, but other than that, the ref was almost totally anonymous, which by definition means he did a good job.

Well he anonymously missed Bishop's fore-arm smash on Skinner, which should have had him off the field and unable to score their second goal.

When was that, Dave? Are you talking of the challenge in front of the stand in the first half where Skinner looked to be flattened, yet the ref simply gave them a throw?

 

They arent happy with the ref on their board either - apparently, from the ideal viewing point (not!) of the other end, it was never a free kick for our 1st goal!

What was quality was when Sodje crashed their player up the steps virtually into the commentary box!!

Their 2nd goal was clearly offside. I was standing next to Jessica who will agree. The lino was well short of play and it was his fault the goal was not dissallowed, not the refs.
