Excellent start to his time at the club, but soon lost confidence and as a result lost the confidence of the defence in front of him and became very shaky and couldn't command his defence.

A very good keeper if his mind is right, otherwise can be a bit prone to error.

'Played' is not the word a lot of people would use to describe his performances on the field in a Slough shirt. On his day he is a competent keeper. The problem is his day was few and far between and cost a lot of goals. Also partial to having arguments with his defenders. And a bit of a tight git, being the only member in the squad who accepted my offer to buy them a drink at an end of season bash a couple of years ago

I think both of your assessments are harsh. He was as good a shot stopper as Parky but neither were as good as Allaway. Poor in the air is true but as for falling out with defenders, most of that was with Michael Murphy who could start an argument in an empty room!

I thought he was a decent enough keeper. We have had a dodgy defence for as long as I can remember and they often leave the keepers woefully over exposed. Never one of the "popular" players and therefore always subject to harsher criticism. He did tend to struggle on crosses and that may well have been a confidence problem.
