todays game without reflection

best we have played this year for 70 minutes and kingy in midfield gave us the cover and control we have missed previously..everywhere on the pitch in the first half we were awesome and how we didn't score at least 5 goals from 10 clear cut chances I'll never know...brentwood are a good team...possibly the best at the stadium yet in footballing terms... but lacked the endeavour and strength that we displayed...

that said we nearly lost in injury time when they hit the bar and that after DH had missed a pen...(only one given of at least 5 shouts)...the officials (apart from elvis) were fckn hopeless and the ref was a disgrace to football....extra time gave us the goals that we deserved and through we went...but not after mad dog had been sent off for 'retaliation'..and off he had to go but its a pity the midget incompetent ref hadn't seen the headbut that he retaliated to.....we shouldn't do it...but it happens and he'll be back stronger and savvier...he was a star today and we'll miss him when his ban clicks in....head up pinnacle....also hope the brentwood boys eye is okay and I'll update on that manana....

nicky cowley deservedly MOM and all urchins...players... fans and staff alike are to be congratulated on another buzz day out at the ol' stadium....nice also to see old friends from our ryman days who are now with brentwood...good banter all around the ground...especially aimed at the midget nincompoop....

2-0...280 made the effort and thoroughly deserved......

Don't know if he went to hospital - he walked out of the ground at about five to five, with a bandage across his eye and face - not at all sure where the actual injury was - it appeared to be under the eye and close to the nose.

Oh well [****!!****] happens. He got as good as he gave. Disgraceful decision, I cannot believe the lino missed the headbutt before...

Agree with your comments, amazing that the ref booked that fella in the opening salvo when just a stern ticking off would do, that sort of set the tone for the game.

The ref allowed umpteen minutes of extra time as he no doubt had a bet on the Ingerlund game

How he lost it I dont know, Danny Heale was brought down first half. etc etc etc

But we have to accept all this and full credit to Kingy, Topman and a great goal.

Quarters lads and the final at Burnham beckons!!!

BTW: Joppo wuz there, anyone notice.

the thing is, i was in a direct line of the inncident between our 6 and there 14, the brentwood player attempted to headbutt our player so how come that no official saw this, but they then managed to come to the desision that our player was guilty of retaliation in fact none of the officials were drawn to the inncident until the brentwood player threw himself to the floor, i'm sorry to say i feel that the refereeing desisions of today were a complete disgrace as was the behaviour of some of the brentwood players.

Yes, he was taken to Oldchurch Hospital as a precuation following the match - needless to say we wish him all the best.
