I'm sure that part of the problem is that two of our wide players are injured, and one of the best one of the lot isn't happy playing out there. I thought Niall did well out wide on Tuesday, but less so yesterday. His preference is to play through the middle, but those births are taken.

How much injury timne did the referee overlook in the second half? Clearly somebody who wanted to be elsewhere!

I actually think that we could have played until midnight yesterday and still would not have scored. It was one of those days when we were not going to get a goal no matter what we did.

Substitutions at the end of the game couldn't have done much for the two players' confidence, those coming on that is.

Cooper at Boreham wood.......

Blimey I hope Adam Gant is fit for Tuesday then, he limped off late on yesterday, we are already missing Dave Allen & if Adam is not fit I fear Cooperman will have a field day, he is quality.

Don't panic we have Graeme Hall and Jon Stevenson available! Little Ian Cooper against these giants will be interesting. Ideal opportunity for Jon Stevenson to prove he is up to the job and not just a late tackling centre-back?

I like the new guy Menseh and would like to see him get a start before he gets bench sores and attitude to match.

But yes Ian will probably run rings round us.

I am panicing, Disco has the pace to keep up with cooperman & Adam is a natural defender who could play at a much higher level, his tackling & positional sense are excellent.

If neither are available id like to see Russell drop back & have Bradley take his place in midfield.

Cant comment on Mensah? dont know who he is & never seen him play except in the warm up session.

He played in a friendly and looked useful, a solid centre back.

players would have been knackered!

we do need to score a few more; but as along as we score 1 more than boringwood on tuesday, we win !

I would certainly give Mensah a try with Russell Penn in the back four. Mind you, Steve B could always fill the gap.

Ian was never that good for us after he'd had a couple of good solid tackles from the opposition. It definitely worked as a disincentive. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Billy Cove or Ian Cooper would walk into out front-line at present.

I don't think we need to look elsewhere I feel we have the players on the books already. We just need to get the mix right. I would start with Lionel and the Goal Machine up front. I like Nyman down the right. Morgan down the left. I'm not sure how to fit Smith into the line up I have always thought his best position is behind a front 2. Kojo is a player u bring on for any of the front 2 or the wingers.

I think the only two fans who didn't rate Ian Cooper, were Softie and Steph. I think it was probably Ian's personality rather than his ablility, that clouded their judgemnet.

He could run at defences and do it well. He didn't have the height for the corners but who knows maybe he'll prove me wrong.
