Onome Sodje = Quality

Watched Sodje closely today, and thought he had an oustanding game, even without the goal.

His movement was sharp and the defenders could not deal with him.

His strength is great, highlighting his goal - he muscled out two players and then took it round the keeper.

His pace is lightning; No one else on the pitch could keep up with him.

His commitment was second to none. Chased everything, and his fitness showed, although did towards the end loose a little energy

His finishing was good too, although he did have a couple of opportunities he could have done better on

And lastly his celebrating - class!

And he's only 17, it's amazing!

Definately one for the future, with experience his game will improve immensley.

UP THE FLEET!

UP THE SODJE!

On a serious note - does anyone else think we have possession(sadly only for the season) of a player who could well be a massive star in the Premiership if Alan Curbishly looks after him.

Frightening pace, massive physique and strength beyond his years, "presence", endurance, confidence and an eye for goal.

I have not seen a better 17 year old on Fleets books in 35 years.

Anyone fancy backing him for the Conference Golden Boot award? He could easily be the surprise package this season!

I wouldn't go that far but I can see him easily scoring 10 to 15.

Slow down, Gary! He is only starring at the fifth level of English club football at present - and even that has only comprised two excellent performances (vs. Accy and York), one good one (vs. Scarborough) and one so short as to be impossible to analyze (vs. Halifax).

That said, he is only 17 as you rightly state, and there is clearly potential there.
