I thought it was close to begin with, having them hit the post. But Super Mario scores what reads like a screamer to put us in the lead.

 

Hopefully we can go into half-time still one to the good and Wardy's injury isn't too bad.

Now Bimmo, who replaced Wardy, has been replaced by Allan Tait due to an injury! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Looks like we've possibly changed to a 3-4-3 formation as well with Boylan, Tait and Ibe up front, (obviously that would be 3-3-3 with JK sent off!)

Messy game we could and should have won, Clarke is getting poorer every week.

 

We looked the most likely to win.

 

The penalty was a result of Clarke bottled out of a header, JK had no choice.

 

 

Mario was the man, class act!!!

 

Hallet has not been my favourite player, I recently said he does not look like a striker, i am off to eat some humble pie.

SUPERB goal by Super Mario. deserved his man of the match award.

Dom was outstanding again, has been playing really well this season.

As for Jason, felt he should have come on a bit earlier. Defenders just dont like him.

thought we should have won this one.

Individuals did well but as a team we weren't at the same high standards we have set ourselves over recent week. However, the injuries and sending off meant that we didn't have a settled team at all in the second half, so a point will do.

 

Personally I think that Altrincham can feel a bit unlucky that they didn't get more than a point. Their second "goal" where the ref blew for a foul on McKinney looked very harsh, but saying that Tait had one second half that looked like a fair attempt to win the ball. Richard must have been very close to the penalty, unlucky.

 

As for JK, I think he should be praised for sacrificing himself for the team. Had the penalty not gone in going in 1-0 up at half time would have been a huge boost. However, people who were stood behind the goal claim that the ball had already crossed the line before JK handled, so maybe this should not have been awarded.

 

6 unbeaten, looking back to Crawley I certainly wouldd't have thought this would happen! COME ON YOU YELLOWS!

Thought Dom played well today. Close call between him and Noto for getting man of match.

Felt sorry for JK but as previously said sacrificed him self for the team. However, dont think he would have lasted till the end. He was having obvious problems with his leg injury.

On the whole not a bad game.

Mind you the last player I moaned about was Hallet and he has been quality for the last two games.

 

So what do I know, mind you a few people in the crowd behind the goal said the same.

With JK suspended for the next game, possibly Keeling could play on the right in his place, therefore you would be able to compare both flanks during the match to see which would pose more of a threat.

 

The only other person that could probably play in that position is Duffers, but if Bimmo's injury keeps him out of the next game, we don't have another left-back.

No-one has mentioned the extent of Bimmo or Wardy's injury and the live text on BBC yesterday just mentioned that they were both subbed.

 

Unfortunate that it is, but with both Wardy, Bimson and Mad-Dog out this will give Bunce and Conroy their chance to claim a place alongside most probably Chenery and Sterling at the back, (I forgot when posting last night that Sterling can also play at left-back).

 

Duffy or Keeling can take JK's role on the right, and something I'm wondering - After what seems to have been a great performance yesterday. Will Mario start the next game or will Minton return from his ban and walk into the starting line-up?

we have alot of injurys now, bunce and conroy are both out keeling still out for over a week and greggors is to mad-dog out for atleast a few weeks herd that bimo is out for at least 2weeks not sure about wardy tho. thats why lee jay made the bench as we were short of players. and now we sold theobald we have no other fit defenders!
