Old Times and New Times

My first post on this forum, hello to all.

 

One or two of you may remember a few posts from myself on an old forum during the massive crisis (is it still) of the ground, around the days of Conference football. Glory days?

 

You may recall that I offered to make a documentary of conspiracy themed Fahrenheit 911 proportions on the subject of the club. Unfortunately that fell through ( all talk no funding).

 

It brings back memories of travelling to Margate with my father who is from the area (Hi Dad - not telling you lot who he is) to see my local club, cardiff take on the gate. in what was almost a glorious 2-1 defeat.

 

since then I have been to a handful of games and have despaired with my Dad at what has happened to the club in the following few years.

 

However, I hope you all agree that from the ashes, something is hopefully turning around and if the players can show the same kind of fight for another few rounds of the cup, the turnaround for an endlessly drawing club can start here.

 

By the way, I will still make that film. i am a professional in the film industry and know what Im doing. Whipround?

Nice to hear from you again Petteri and another recruit to our registered list.It seems to be working at the moment,this registration thing. Long may it do so. Seems a better forum already.You are more than welcome as you support a great team of the past with a wobbly present but with a better future to come.I am of course talking about the "Forest" but those words could apply to the "Gate" too could they not.

p.s. I like your humour Gary but tell me, how old is his dad then?
