Attendance tomorrow

Yes, you are probably right. I was forgetting about the farce that is England v Austria. Without wishing to be negative, I think we will need to beat Poland to qualify and it'll be a re-run of 1973. Ferdinand will do a Norman Hunter and the ensuing shot will be fluffed by the goalkeeper. 1-1 Poland go to Germany as they did in 1974.

Think it will be around the 700 mark. With regard to England, i think we will have 2 convincing victories and so the media will hype up our chances ahead of the World Cup next year. Whereas, realisticly, i think we will get to quarter-finals again, get knocked out by a contentious decision and we will all moan about our bad luck until Euro 2008!

Good attendance. How many won't come back if the performance was as bad as some have said though? There has to be a quality product on the pitch. With Xmas coming up and the weather getting colder how many of these will want to hang around and watch a heartless performance?

You can forget half of those coming back. Football on the pitch is the ultimate lure and we have lost a lot of support with todays performance. There are no excuses that can be given for such a lacklustre performance like that. I have come home feeling totally embarrassed and let down. There just wasnt enough effort, know how, skill or heart out there today.

Credit to Cray as they worked hard as a team, closed us down with 3 or more players everytime we got the ball. A magnificent performance by Cray. We were 3 leagues or more below them today. No excuses for todays performances, absolutely none.We were whitewashed.

And the even more galling thing is Cookie that 4 years ago we were top of the conference and Cray were in the Kent league! So we were more than 3 leagues above them then. How times have changed, sadly.

I am sure we could make room for you at Southwood

follow a winning team, follow the rams

Today was people at SW who have been to every Margate home game this season. They decided to come to see the rams after they are fed up of the boring football on display at HP. I have not seen you play this season so i will not judge , but if they are right your attendance could be down to 350 before xmas.

I don't think so FF - I'd like to think people will come back to Southwood on the back of our success but it takes time to build up support and we had 30 years of very low quality football so many people in Ramsgate forgot we even had a team. Whereas Margate, to their credit, built up from a very poor southern league team to the conference and played league teams (three times as I recall) so their crowds built up. It will take a long period for their crowds to get down to the 350 level and once they start putting a few wins together their crowds will go back up.

I can't help but comment that I've not seen a posting from eyeballpaul yet, who was so insulting about the Rams being a pub team earlier this season. Perhaps it is time for him to finally admit he's wrong about us.

What more to the point, when was the last time Ramsgate made the 4QR?

FF reminds me of an erstwhile friend of mine from Charles Dickens who would crow everytime MFC failed. Bournemouth, Spurs, etc, you know the score. Once Ramsgate lose in the next round FF and his friends will go away from this forum.

Mind you I did say we would win today
