On our site we have this game as being rearranged for Tues 29th Nov - due to you playing in the Cup on Sat.

 

Have you heard likewise ?

 

If this is the case I might stay overnight in a B & B - can you suggest somewhere decent ?

Auntie Sally's boarding house, 29 Sweyn Road, Margate.

 

No tv. no girlfriends. But there is a Goblin Teasmade. Might be a bit cold but you'll get an extra blanket.

If you fancy something a bit rural, we live in a village with three good pubs that offer accommodation - about 20 minutes from Hartsdown, but we would be happy to show you the way!

Was thinking of something which was walking distance/short cab ride to ground so I could have an ale or two...would your village fit the bill ?

Bit far out for that, although you could get a lift in/back with us. We normally have a pint or two after the match in the clubhouse, but do not tend to stay in Margate for drinks out.

 

Maybe the other regulars might know somewhere a bit nearer for you, but they are a bit quiet tonight. Check back again.

the closest hotel place is the place by the station its a 5 min walk to ground from there and its on the seafront with the pubs bars and clubs. http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/home.do (its only a travel lodge)

else if you go up the road there is thewalpolebayhotel http://www.walpolebayhotel.co.uk/ its a very good hotel..

Try the Vienna guest house, 28 Canterbury Road, Margate. 01843-224522. On the main road into town on the left just after the now disused Sea Bathing hospital. It's just a 5 minute walk from the ground, 5 minutes from Wetherspoons (nearest bar) and the other pubs in the town and is just round the corner from the seafront. AND there's a great indian food restaurant over the road.

I have to agree with that Porka.Two extremely nice owners Paddy & Pauline.Nice and homely and not expensive.His son is Pat Mullins the ex"Gate" goalkeeper so fans who visit and stay will have football as a topic for discussion too should they so wish. Very nice place to stay.
