Player Cull (not at mfc please)

Its about this time of year that clubs start to trim their playing staff-normally after exiting from FA CUp.

Hopefully this will not occur at MFC and indeed MFC may be able to take advantage of signing players released by other clubs folowing cup exits.

I anticipate a few player casulties after this weekend, but hopefully not at mfc as we seem to have a bit of an injury crisis and above all that we win on Saturday, bag another £5k prize money and embark on a glorious cup run swelling the coffers, player and supporter pride alike.

A win is so essential for so many reasons on saturday

Continually throughout the season there will always be a number of the squad injured so sufficient numbers of players in the appropriate positions are essential. In addition to injuries there will be other enforced absences for whatever reason. It is essential to our chances of success. Last year when we had the bare bones of a squad playing out of position and when players were injured has surely taught us an important lesson. Naturally there are budget constraints but if we are to mount a late challenge for a promotion position we must have a strong squad.
