Essex CCC to Tour Essex Football Grounds With Totesport Trophy

All aboard the football bus!

 

Essex County Cricket Club will be parading the totesport League Division One trophy at several local football venues over the coming weeks.

 

Starting at Southend United FC on Sunday and ending at Colchester United in November, Captain Ronnie Irani and a number of his Essex Eagles team-mates will be in attendance to show off their silverware.

 

Roots Hall represents a fitting stadium to begin the journey as Southend have also been enjoying a successful run of form to match that of the Eagles during their totesport League title campaign.

 

The Shrimpers will be aiming for a record-breaking eighth successive Division One victory when Nottingham Forest visit at the weekend.
