And the video only gives a part of what was happening on the terraces - there were about 150 Horchurch supporters there, and the reaction was incredible - you really needed to be there to appreciate it.

that was jamie southon daggsy...jonah was deliberately felled by his mate the wakering left back <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> and took the free kick on the right...it was the 6th minute of injury time and jamie brushed the outside of the post with his header...as you say if it goes in we win the championship....

 

talking of jonah..he scored some very important goals for us in that div 1 nth season but the best one was the first goal he scored for Hx in competition against the stones....weeman dragged it back to the edge of the box and the incoming jonah hit it as sweet as you like on the volley and the goalie is still looking for it... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

if i had the time, i'd come up with the most hilarious chopper harris / unc helicopter / one legged joke ever.

 

unfortunately i don't, but if i did, rest assured it would have been the funniest thing *ever*

I still say Ricki's goal is the best but all a matter of opinion of course, but you lads have come up with some good'uns and some more important than others, TM's probably the best memory wise and of course Bestie's against Gravesend for sheer technic, Jonah's against Wealdsone Unc yeh great goal, raining as well, he would be proud of that.

Also someone last night reminded me of Benno's at Wroxham Park, first game of the Ryman Div 1 N season, we got mullered and Benno sends in a last minute screamer to mug the Sluffs of victory, great volley by Sammy Winston in the same match.

This thread makes good reading as it was intended to, keep your thinking caps on cos it's good to talk and reminisce about some great times
