i do agree it is more fun in this league, less travelling, less expensive to get in to games unless we get east thurrock away and gate fees seem to double. lets do an afc sudbury , win the league every year and not take promotion.

>>>Do we have anything older than 3 years D04?

How about the goal which beat Romford in the FA Cup in 1958/59 - H&U won 3-2 - they were expected to lose heavily as Romford had just turned professional and were in the SL at the time. From memory the crowd was 3800.

And the goal which went in in the sixth minute of stoppage time against Gt Wakering - I think it was Adam Locke - memorable because I think Gt Wakering had six players sent off - four of them after the final whistle following discussions with the referee as they left the pitch.

And of course Chris Moore's goal which went wide in the very last second at Gt Wakering - had it gone in they would have been champions.

But I would say the best goal has to be Tony Maynard's - check out the video and watch the crowd and player reaction. Had they lost at Arlesey, the papers would have loved it, and I think it was that match which helped in a massive way to build up the level of support they have today. Had they lost, it could have been a completely different story.
