Best HX goal?

Rick's goal last night certainly goes to the top of my all time list, with his back to goal a control and turn in one movement then a screaming volley with his standing peg, absolutely superb.

My next five as they come to mind are:

2) Wolffy's "Van Basten" volley at Ware about 5 years ago, I know it's on video.

3) Nick Lowery's first time lob on the run against league leaders Northwood 3 years ago.

4) John Keeling's last minute winner against Burton in the Trophy ending a quicksilver move started by Danny Kerrigan's throw and Bertie Brayley's overhead kick, and Vinny's header.

5) Chris Stowe's delicate lob on the volley over the keeper's head from a Benno free kick against Wakering.

There aare many others, what do you all think?

Nice ones KLF

1) Joey Tungate against ? but laid on by john Rothon, and Joey was famed for those types in his early days, actually scored a similar one against Leyton Pennant(now Waltham F) on his debut when we fielded a few young 'uns and beat them 3 2

2) That was Wolffy's at Ware, the Van Basten special, but who is it yelling in the background?

Thought you might have picked Kimble's at Hemel?

Easy - Tony Maynard at Arlesey

Steve Castle at Boston

Caskey against Northfleet

Steve King at Burnham (two great chips in quick succession)

Vinny against Tranmere - not his fault the referee got it wrong

Keeling against Burton

Shipp against Bognor (96th min)

Shipp at Hayes

Vinny against Darlington

Jamie at St Albans (pure class)

And worst conceded was the one the Kettering goalkeeper scored direct from an indirect FK at Kettering.

The best and most important goal in Horchurch's history has to be Tony Maynard's goal at Arlesey. Every one of those lads who turned out deserved a medal. The game gave every one a back bone to work on to keep the club going and building it up today. Who would have thought we would have won the game 1-0 before kick off.
