On reflection, a win ground out against a team of battlers but to be fair it was a game to give players a run out, and win of course, well pleased for Ricky, as you have responded in the best way mate with two goals and a great free kick that hit the bar. I said 40 yards but changed it later to 39 on the advice of those in my midst!

Good also to see Ket coming back after what seemed like a nasty injury, well done Ket.

That puts us into the quarters and a two legged early in the year tie.

Every cup is worth winning, the last piece of silverware for the seniors was I believe the Fred Budden cup about 4 years ago.

Also good Urchins support as always, the Aveley guys behind the bar, who I've known for years, must have been rubbing their hands and looking forward to the league match.

No, definitely it did not. There were three HFC players near the near post at the time, and the ball pin-balled into the net off one, maybe two, of them.
