IS THE GRASS GREEN ON THE OTHER SIDE

Cant blame anybody for having aspiration, but i question ideas above ones station,i wish the lad well and would sooner see him with us than elsewhere, cant help think that this could be somewhat more about the ajents stake than the overall wellfare of the player in question, why not stay untill a club is found rather than go acrimoniously. Good luck Mark Green.

I think the majority of us wish him well.

Maybe a few of us think that he is not back to full fitness, and to give it to Xmas may have been a better bet for MGreen.

Equally by then MFC will have a settled side and unfortunately, probably be out of FA Cup and trophy(you never know).

Can't see much point in MG going up one div to a conf south club(standard is no etter than Ryman).

He is capable of playing in conf. national and probably better ,but needs to get form and fitness back i feel.

Can't see much benefit to him being bench fodder or playing in the reserves of a div 2 club.

However, i do hope it works out for him and that the impatience of youth pays off. Equaly hopefully CK and MG have left the door ajar for each other.

Then seek pastures new.

Odd how there wasn't quite the same indignation over all the other players who left after our relegation. I think people are being unfair to Mark, at least he didn't sod off in the summer. We are currently a mid-table Ryman League team and he wants to better himself.

Tbh very few people have said any thing harsh just a few anons, the majorty of the gate faithful wish him well.

He played 10 games for us this season they were not some of his best but he has been tremndous for us in the past, i dare say if he wouldnt of had that awful injury we certanly would have put a few more points on the board and certianly enough to survive the drop last season he was that important in a some what weak Gate squad.

Mark Green feels he can play at a higher level and he is not on contract so good luck to him, we would have been stronger with him but he has another path to follow.

Our crusade up the non league ladder has lost Greeny but i belive it is just a temporay spanner in the works, the team is stronger then last year and will continue to move forward it might just limp for a while.

Up Da Gate!!
