Yeah 2001/02 was the can throwing, the suspension season, the previous was Costello's classic season although the award wasn't started until 01/02. If it was he'd hold the record for landslide victory in a season.

EFM was apparently formed at Chester!

That's [****!!****], I reckon. The season Dagenham won the league (1999-2000), Costello was already posting on their message board as England's First Martyr.

 

It became the group name by the summer of 2000, possibly the Autumn, I reckon.

 

But yeah, the award didn't surface til 2001/02.
