Paul Gascoigne is part of a consortium that have put in a bid to buy Kettering

 

Former England star Paul Gascoigne could be set for a return to football with non-league side Kettering.

 

Kettering chairman Peter Mallinger confirmed he has had an offer for the Conference North side from a consortium involving Gascoigne.

 

"There's still work to do but we're confident a deal will be completed soon," read a statement from Mallinger and consortium leader Imraan Ladak.
