Not a major topic for debate but I would just like to see others views on this....The entrance onto the pitch by the two teams at home matches!

I realise we have porto cabins and things are not as before with the dug-out, but I find it annoying that both teams come out simultaneously onto the pitch just before kick-off and together with this the home team go to the far end instead of to their own supporters end. The unity of the team and its fans before kick-off is missing I feel at this time in the fixture. Not getting that rapturous applause in front of the "clubhouse" end seems to be a major dissappointment to me.

As the majority of home fans are at this end it does seem a shame that the "Gate" dont get the applause they deserve and which gives everyone a lift especially the players.Am not saying this isnt happening but at the clubhouse end it "sounds" better.

Of course both teams deserve applause but giving our lads that extra applause is missing and I feel it shows our apprcetiation in a higher tone.

Together with this the players give back their appreciation in a more intimate way.

Last home game saw about 4 or 5 players coming out ahead of the others at the other end and the appropiate applause was not there at all.

Has anyone else noticed this and indeed missed it.

Maybe something could be done with this. What do others think! I hope I have explained my point well enough for you to come back your views on this.

I agree with you Tony.Another thing that i have also noticed more especialy at the begining of the season ,by the time the songs waft there way past the 1/2 way line and into the ears of our beloved GAAAAAAAATE they drown in the volume the music and so the sterling efforts of the choir are lost.

I too agree. I know the ref rings a buzzer when the time to come out is due but surely could directives to both teams not be made that they come out separately and do a cross over from the changing rooms at the same time. After all it is our home game and our players should reap the benefits of the maximum applause they can get.It not only adds that extra spice to the game but would surely gee up the players more from the start.

I can see the unity in it June and thats not a bad thing but having our guys go to the top end and the opposing team to go to the bottom end shouldnt be such a hard thing to ask for surely .By coming out together surely they could arrange the line up behind the dug-outs so that they disperse to the opposite ends from where their changing rooms are. We should be making things easier for our team and harder for the other team. Asking them to go to the wilderness end just as they come out would give us an advantage by having our lads face the hoards of home fans, not to mention any away fans that will be cheering from there, as the majority do congregate at this end at the beginning, before making the trek down to the other end to view. Its just I feel it would have a good pre-kicking off effect and boost on our lads. It all helps. There, all said! Thanks all for your comments.
