James Smith

Margate Football Club

Recommended Posts

I seem to recall that Welling fans rated him and he was the 'next Ferdinand'.

Then Ross Smith keeps him out of the Gravesend team.

He has been injured-one assumes he is fit again.

Does this mean that Kola is out for some time-pity if it does.

Would be nice to know how long loan is for-one momnth or for season?

Hope he is good in the air or Bas Savage will murder our defence for Walton and H in the air tomorrow

Seems a good 'signing' all in all.

Hopefuly we can get the best out of Hasim Deen by playing him in midfield ,where if Gradley is fit, Deen and gradley could give us a great midfield complemented by either Sacha ,Standen or Brown or even Keister in a month or so.

Seems like we have a great squad to me now.

Another well timed bit of news. Should lift the team.

It means what it says Tony M. Club announce good news on the eve of a hard game and it should be an uplift to the other players, and us for that matter. I thought it was self-explanatory, but anyway, hope that covers it.

Not knowm but:

Fleet Get Their Man

We are pleased to announce that James Smith has today signed a two year, full-time contract with the club.

Following protracted negotiations 'Fleet' Manager Liam Daish stated "I am extremely pleased to have secured the signing of James, at nineteen years of age he has a lot to offer this Club. He is physically and mentally strong and I have no doubt that he has the ability to progress through the ranks of football. He will add strength and pace to our defence, something that I believe we were short of last season. Full time training will make James an even better player and I am looking forward to working with him and watching him progress."

James was signed for a four figure fee from Welling United FC, there are two additional four figure payments to be made following a fixed number of appearances for the club
