Seeing as after the game the reporter came up to him and asked him how his KNEE was, I wouldn't take too much notice of what they say.

Nick originaly did his ankle in the game at Woking, but due to being the only central defender who can walk without crutches at the moment, has had to carry on playing. He originaly thought it was just a knock, and would soon ease off, but the problems persisted. He eventualy went and saw the physios at Reading who diagnosed it as pulled ankle ligaments, and perscribed complete rest for a fortnight with a further fortnight before playing.

The injury to Tim Cole meant he had to come back after the initial fortnight, and the ankle flared up almost imediately, but he stayed on until they were comfortably in the lead.

The only long term cure is now for three weeks of complete rest. The fact that he lives in Reading means it is a four hour round trip to games and training, which further aggrevates the injury.

Not sure when he'll be back, it is a case of to rest it, keep getting treatment, and seeing how it holds up.
