If you say that SACFC players pass better than England players, then you ARE comparing the two on a level playing field.

How else could you compare it?

St.Albans midfeild playing at St.Albans level is playing better in comparison then the Spurs and England midfeild playing in the premiership and internationals!

But this may not be the case if St.Albans played Fulham, par example!

Right. Now I understand. So you're saying that Spurs have an average Premiership midfield, England have an average International midfield, but St Albans have an above-average midfield for the Conf South.
