Admission Prices for Children

[Margate Football Club]

Margate Football Club has changed its entrance price for children. From Tuesday 04 October 2005 all children under 16 will be admitted to the ground for £1.00. This decision has been taken in response to complaints regarding the removal of the family ticket. The family ticket was being abused from some areas and as such was withdrawn. Margate Football Club is a community and family club and the views of our supporters are important to us. We hope that any supporters staying away from the Club as a result of the withdrawal of the family ticket will once again attend Hartsdown Park to enjoy the football.

it was my origional complaint and i would like to thank everyone for their support over this.thanks to the club for this decision i will now attend all home matches with my kids as i am sure others who had the same problem as me will also do.in the long term this has to be good for the club by getting in more young fans. UP THE GATE <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

This is a fantastic gesture by the club. It just shows how vital this Forum is for the supporters and the club as a whole. Another 3 supporters through the turnstiles every home match. Thanks must go to the management for such a quick decision.

I certainly have been one of the cynics about the board but am being proved wrong.

I really hope as many people as possible attend games as a result of this.

But I paid £90 for a concession season ticket, and have ended up paying nearly quadruple the cost if I'd paid at the enterance every time, I thought a season ticket was meant to save money!

Good news & thankyou for posting on the site telling us what is going on (A few families I spoke to were going to not addend again), just wish there would have been an advance warning of what was happening as we need to promote the club as much as poss to maintain our upward standing.

Excellent move and good to see the club listening. Lets hope it brings in more trouble-free youngsters that will join in with those that cheer on the team.It will also help keep them off the streets and give them something to now look forward to each weekend. Well done Margate FC.
