I know on this forum for some reason you delete negative post which to me is totally undemocratic but I thought I would air my perceptions anway.

Even though we started off the season well, many games were won by the odd goal, then we had what was in my opinion our toughest game up to then against Northwood(subsquent results and their tremendous goals for column bears this out)who to me look likely league winners, well we beat them in a good game and performance by our lads-and then what happened, the team was changed(tinkered with )and new faces were introduced, and even though we carried on winning in the cups, the performane levels dropped, this suggests to me that the other players were not happy with changing a winning side and moral has dipped, and as we have seen in the past, people with injuries take longer to get fit when their heart is not in it.Unfortunately some of the replacements are simple not good enough, and if Mr Browne is playing players just because they are friends he should be told or removed.

The other major point is these cup games are bogging us down and shortly we will have to many games to make up.

But the Cup Games are where the club recieves Money! Slough have recieved nearly 10k in the FA Cup so far, and if we can win another round then this will increase. If the club get more funds then the club can buy better players, and if the club get better players then it will make the injured perform better to get their place back.

So we lose a couple of games and the doom merchants start posting. Have we forgotten that it's pretty much a new team and that we've got to replace our "star" player within one month?

I think being promoted won't help the club if we haven't got the ground deal sorted (there might not be a club for instance). Yes the backlog of games created by cup success won't aid any promotion bid, but a decent run in the FA Cup will help to fund this year's team and perhaps alleviate some of the consortium's cash flow problems, and give us some much needed good publicity. It's not often a promotion winning side is built in one season anyway.

Whatever goes on in the background with Browne, the Consortium aka Martin Deaner, we wouldn't have a club to support without them, so let's support the lads on Saturday against a "bigger" club and get some more winnings and see where we go thereon. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />

What a load of tosh, I know for a fact that in last 4 years two serious bids have been rejected!

Deaner has continual cashflow problems! what does this suggest?

You are watching second class football in a second class stadium run by second class administration and funded by a second class business man

But this will be deleted, and we musn''t be critical of him or the club......... The last country like that, was the Russian federation, that is not around anymore?

By my calculation we have made £16,000 (1000+7500+7500) so far from our cup run. If we win on Saturday it will be another £10,000. Plus 1/2 the gate money after expenses from each match. However having the money and spending it wisely are two different things. We have certainly suffered from about the Uxbridge match, which was when the Bubbs joined.

Key factors are. The loss of Daly and Gilkes - not necessarily my favourite player, but Daly has been a much better captain this season, and paired with Brown has mad a good "Stopper/sweeper" combination at centre bach. Daly has never been weak in the air it is his control of the ball an th ground, and distribution that have needed attention. Gilkes has been 10 time the player he was last season. (Can do better and focus on staying involved). However it is evident that we are missing his experience and on field coaching and positional play.

Teams are wise to sammy - you cant be the leagues leading scorer without getting attention from defenders. This can create openings for our other forward player - Oh we played with five midfielders and no other forward !!!

Steve Hale has not impressed me, Wnen Daly shouts Daly's the call is followed by the sound of head striking ball, the shout of Haleys is followed by a defender winning the ball.

On Tuesday we played poorly, bad passing, either without weight, or to a player maked by two defenders, or to a player in a blue shirt cost us posession.

Finally I agree with the comment about square balls across the park. Keep the ball at all times yes. That can be achieved by short interpassing. We keep playing long ball square, or worse still behind the receiving player, which stops the attacking momentum dead. Defending is much easier if the defence can run onto the ball wheter from a pass or from the Goalkeepers kick. The strike has the advantage when the defender has to turn or better still run back.

I just want to stress the point to Tara and 'Rebel 666'. Posts are not deleted on here without good reason. You are free to air your views, but to come on here and say that your post will be deleted p1sses me off slightly.

We'll just scrap the forum shall we?

Have a look at other posting recently, they're hardly positive and encouraging, but lo and behold, they've not been deleted. Better go and do that so your words actually carry some truth then.....

On the point of recent performances, we've gone the route of Sunderland where the manager's words no longer seem to have effect. Instead of firing up the team, it's just a stream of negatives which is heavily demoralising the players.

A change is needed.

To shout and swear IN PRIVATE. Obviously not when he's on the pitch.

As someone said to me last night, he's got very little idea on what to do when we losing tactically and it's not going to change.

We need to make a concerted effort to get him out of the club together.

The club is suppose to be looking for young talent but with Browne in charge this is the only reason Paul Reed left, not because he was not in the side as a regular but because browne does not know how to treat players.Paul is 19 and could have been an asset in time while barras is 32

Tara and Rebel 666 are talking rubbish, just do not rise to the bait Gary. I spend half my time on here being negative and only had one post edited when I really went off on one.

Rebel 666, you talk of facts and serious bids. Come on then back up. We do not even know who you are.

Tara, I agree with the vast majority of your comments but do not criticise people who genuinely work hard for and love the club. Promotion is beyond us this season without serious changes. A cup run gives us money and a chance to play the bigger teams and revive old memories.

Come on boys lets do Hampton and get a juicy tie in the next round.

On the note of the bids Rebel 666, if they had been made public, do you not think you would have gained the support of a fair few supporters to back their cause?

It's all fair and well saying there have been two bids, but how come the information did not reach the local press? They usually latch onto things like this.

Why not bid again now, publically, and get the backing of the supporters?

No matter how much money Slough has, and will make from Cup runs, I don't think we should buy any players. We don't need to - other clubs do well by signing free players only. I would much prefer us to stick with young players than risk money, which we don't have much of, on money transfers.
