Apparently languishing at number 56 in the midweek chart.

Not good when you consider the first three singles were all Top 30 in the midweeks then all peaked just outside the Top 40.

 

Brought all 3 formats yesterday, forced Neil to buy the CD single and brough Craigs new baby (3 days old) the DVD single to get her on a good start in life.

 

Also met the girl in the Good Weekend last night.

It was never going to make Top 40.

 

As we're being candid with one another at the minute, I'll tell you for why.

 

They're sh*t. Not only are they sh*t, they're for kids. And only a small amount of brain-dead kids actually like their music.

maybe you're right, so it must grate so much that a talented singer songwriter like yourself is reduced to writing albums in his bedroom that nobody listens to!

I quite like it that way, to be honest.

 

If no-one listens, no-one can criticise. If no-one criticises, my already fragile ego can be no further shattered.

It's a great single to own. Good feel to it; sort of thing to play as you're getting ready to go out of an evening, buy it coz

 

It's a blinking good song.

 

Not just a responsibility to buy it.

Still managed to beat heavyweights like LCD Soundsystem and Go! Team, I think indie singles sales are going through a bit of a lull, some big players have seen recent singles fail to chart well whereas a year ago indie bands couldn't do wrong.

It's obviously due to people buying more albums!

What I mean is these bands are well known and sell out places like Brixton Academy and are high up on festival bills
