The Real Deal

Recommended Posts

Because it's done on a rolling 52 week cycle, Henman has been crap this year and is slowly losing all the ranking points from the previous year, which people forget was his best ever, while Greg has had two consective years of form on the American Hard Courts. Andy has had to more or less build his points up from zero, to go from 400 in the world to Top 100 is no mean feat though (I think he'll be in the Top 90 with this semi final place).

I suspect Greg will finish the year as our number one as Tim has just pulled out of another tournement with his bad back, that's the idea of the 52 week cycle it protects players if they have been injured for part a season or in Gregs case under suspicion for drug taking!

Federer v Murray final would be class!

Nah, he'd get pummeled 0-6, 0-6.

Would be best to lose bravely in three sets against the Thai bloke. Which he probably will.

And then we can say what a great tournament he had, and start wetting ourselves about what a great tennis prospect we have here for the future blah blah blah.

Murray is average.

I'd expect him to win as he regually trashes Top 10 players but he would certainly be given a game, not quite a w/o like it was against Mackim.

Shame it's on SKY 8.30 Sunday morning, doubt I'd find any pubs outside of Dunblane showing it.

Gotta get past the semis first though, I can watch that at work tommorrow!

I had to endure ten years of this hysterical crap with Henman, all these Wimbledon tournaments he was going to win etc.

I do hope we're not going to go through all this again now with Andy Murray.

To be fair he did make the semi on several occasions and hs been in the world Top 10 for the best part of 10 years.
You won't get the same hysteria with Murray as grass isn't his favorite surface, I could see him doing alright in the US Open in years to come
