Do you think Harry still wants me to justify my idea about loaning Ports out to get match fit for the conference?

In spite of Harry's abuse, I still think it would be of benefit both to Ports and to us.

Practicing 2 or 3 evenings a week without regular weekend games (by being on the bench) will leave him painfully short on match practice.

A short loan to a lower league will get him match fit, without having to mark the big hairy forwards or gazelle quick wingers we encounter in the Conference.

Well thats exactly what I mean Gary, but whats the difference in loaning himout to some team or playing him in the ressies? The difference is he is ours when we need him. He can play in the cup and the trophy in feel in maybe in a few matches in the conference when the pitch's get heavy. I see no sense in loaning him out.

 

P.S Can some one explain to me when it's my time to criticise without being criticized myself.

The difference is that on loan he will get regular football whereas the reserves do not play every week and the football is not at the same standard.

It makes perfect sense to loan him out particularly when we have 4 other available centre halves.

That's how we got him playing for us in our first conference season.

 

I forgot to add that we get a contribution towards his wages from the loanee club.

Okay, so Ports gets some much needed match practise and the club make money out of it and we can recall him if we need to....but apart from that what have the Romans ever done for us <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

there is nowhere to go when harry starts talking sihte. Good grief, it makes me wanna cry or something, i don't know. He is the kind of person you wanna meet, take out, and wise up to the world and not be such a squeaky gimp. a kind of charity case you know?? im at my wits end, i read a post of his and feel pain at all the things that need straigtening out, AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
